Can Accord Building Services provide janitorial supplies for our buildings?

 

Accord Building Services buys paper and plastic products in bulk through various sources. We will resell these products to our customers usually at a cost lower than they can purchase.  Please ask an account representative for a pricing list of our janitorial supplies.

 

 

How does Accord Services achieve quality control?

 

We use a combination of nighttime and daytime on-site visits as well as customized, duty-verification forms. Our cleaners fill out these forms and turn them in weekly.   Our account reps are only a phone call away if you have an emergency situation.

 

 

Does Accord Building use “green” cleaning chemicals?

 

Accord Building Services uses green cleaning chemicals, equipment and practices to help safeguard our environment. This improves the air quality in your buildings.

 

 

Is Accord Building Services the least expensive Janitorial Service in St. Louis?

 

At Accord we pride ourselves on being very competitively priced on all our commercial cleaning services.  Most “low bidders” are either franchised or national organizations who subcontract the bid to other local vendors. This further dilutes the wages paid to the workers performing the cleaning tasks.

 

 

What is the difference between Accord Building and a franchised cleaning company?

 

The franchise company sells the account to a local franchisee to perform the services after getting the bid.  In order to make a profit, this local franchisee has to clean more square footage per hour than a conventional company and therefore usually has a higher level of customer dissatisfaction.  The franchise company usually has contracts that seem very hard to break.  At Accord we bid our accounts very competitively with our major consideration being able to clean the account as promised.  Our contracts include a standard 30-day cancellation clause for failure to perform.

 

 

What is the difference between a nationally operated janitorial service and a locally owned company?

 

National companies have sales teams that typically paid commission once at the start of a contract. So, they don’t maintain customer contact after making the sale.  They usually bid very low to get the account and then sub-contract out to one of your local companies to actually service the account. This approach is very commonly used with national chains who want to be able to budget a per square foot price for their locations throughout the country.  The main office performs all the administration and billing so that the profit margin for the local company is usually too low to properly service your account.

Accord is a community oriented company, and bids competitively, with our primary consideration being able to service our accounts properly.  You will have easy access to our management to address your cleaning and maintenance needs directly and specifically.  Our response to issues is usually the same business day and always less than 24 hours.  Our contracts include a standard 30-day cancellation clause for failure to perform.
